PREVIEW: Goldman shares up; Q3 rev seen edging down, EPS to rise
** Shares in Goldman Sachs GS.N were up 0.7% on Monday ahead of quarterly report due before market open on Tuesday
** Wall Street consensus has the bank reporting adj EPS of $6.89 up from $5.47 in the year-ago quarter on rev of $11.80 bln, which would be down slightly vs $11.817 bln year-ago, according to the latest data from LSEG
** In the last 8 quarters GS met or beat the Street's revenue and EPS expectations 6 times
** GS will be following Friday's bullish start to earnings season with profit at its rivals JPMorgan Chase JPM.N and Wells Fargo WFC.N beating expectations
** Shares in GS last traded at $516.30 vs median PT of $550 as per LSEG, which shows 23 analyst ratings: 5 'strong buy,' 11 'buy' and 7 'hold' ratings
**YTD GS shares up 34.9% vs 24.1% gain for S&P 500 financial services index and 14.1% gain for the Dow Industrials .DJI
