European metal and mining stocks slip on China stimulus disappointment
** Shares in European metal and mining stocks slide, tracking a fall in base metals prices on China stimulus disappointment
** Erste Group analyst Jakub Szkopek says Tuesday's briefing of China's National Development and Reform Commission stopped short of large stimulus
** "Given much expectations for further stimulus in the lead up to the event, commodities are taking the brunt of the disappointment and will likely remain under pressure," Szkopek writes in a note
** "Copper and iron ore futures are both under pressure... on the growing worry that the positive impact of the stimulus measures could remain short-lived," Swiss Quote analyst Ipek Ozkardeskaya says
** STOXX basic resources index .SXPP falls 4.7% to nearly two-week low
** Anglo American AAL.L, Antofagasta ANTO.L slide 5.9% and 5.7%, respectively
** Norsk Hydro NHY.OL, Boliden BOL.ST , KGHM KGH.WA, Rio Tinto RIO.L, Glencore GLEN.L fall 3-5%
